Zoom Integration documentation

1. Overview

Our platform provides a Zoom integration that enables users to create, manage, and participate in Zoom meetings directly from the application. The integration allows seamless scheduling, automatic meeting synchronization, and improved collaboration workflows.

2. Features

The Zoom integration provides:

  • Create Zoom meetings from within the application
  • Automatic meeting scheduling
  • Meeting updates synchronization
  • Secure OAuth authorization flow and participant management
  • Webhook-based meeting event updates

3. Accounts and Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Requirements

Before using the Zoom integration:

  • You must have an active Zoom account
  • You must have permission to authorize third-party apps
  • Administrator approval may be required depending on your organization settings

5. Connecting Your Zoom Account

Step 1 - Open Integration Settings

  • Log in to your account
  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Zoom

Step 2 - Authorize Zoom

  • Click Connect Zoom
  • You will be redirected to Zoom authorization
  • Sign in to your Zoom account
  • Click Authorize

Step 3 - Confirmation

  • After successful authorization, your Zoom account becomes connected
  • Meetings can now be created directly inside the platform

6. Creating a Zoom Meeting

Go to Meetings.

  • Click Create Meeting
  • Select Zoom Meeting

Configure:

  • Title
  • Date & Time
  • Participants
  • Duration

Click Save.

The meeting will automatically appear in both the application and your Zoom account.

7. Meeting Synchronization

The integration automatically syncs:

  • Event
  • Behavior
  • Meeting Created
  • Created in Zoom
  • Meeting Updated
  • Updated in Zoom
  • Meeting Deleted
  • Removed from Zoom
  • Meeting Started
  • Status updated
  • Meeting Ended
  • Recording/events synced

8. Permissions Requested

The integration requests the following Zoom permissions:

  • View user profile
  • Create meetings
  • Update meetings
  • Read meeting events
  • Receive webhook notifications

These permissions are required only to provide core meeting functionality.

9. Security & Data Protection

We prioritize user security:

  • OAuth 2.0 secure authorization
  • No Zoom passwords stored
  • Encrypted token storage
  • HTTPS communication only
  • Access tokens securely rotated

10. Disconnecting Zoom

To remove access:

  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations
  • Select Zoom
  • Click Disconnect

Your Zoom authorization token will immediately be revoked.

11. Troubleshooting

Cannot connect Zoom
Ensure popups are enabled and confirm Zoom account permissions.
Try reconnecting
Reconnect the Zoom account from the integrations page.
Meetings not syncing
Reauthorize the Zoom connection and confirm webhook delivery is active.
